My 2023 solo exhibition showcased new pieces that are a radical shift in my practice.
After a long period of creative block, HUMAN NATURE was inspired by the rubbish from the local KFC drive-through that blows down my street.
For the first time I’ve included a narrative in my work: Paintings that depict criminality, violence, littering and drug use in a bright, colourful and playful way.

Set inside a Melbourne warehouse, HUMAN NATURE featured 3 tons of fake garbage that I made by hand. Visitors walked around in, around and even through vast piles of trash to reveal paintings, paper works and sound installations.
