‘Can’t do tomorrow’

‘Can’t Do Tomorrow’ was a huge urban art festival set within the enormous warehouse spaces of The Facility in Melbourne.

When I looked around the exhibition space, it reminded me of the early illegal rave scene in the UK.
I made a ‘secret rave’ hidden behind the walls of a traditional gallery setup. Visitors squeezed through a gap to find a hidden room with an LED screen featuring ravers wearing custom masks, a giant sound system and UV lights. The rave wasn’t on the festival map, and was just hidden enough for visitors to need to make an effort to find it.

Can’t do Tomorrow attracted 16,000+ visitors across 10 days.
